These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Lintas Benteng mobile application
("App", "Service", "we", "our", or "us"), developed by BPS Kabupaten Bengkulu Tengah.
⚠️ IMPORTANT:
By downloading, installing, or using Lintas Benteng, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, DO NOT download, install, or use the App.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Lintas Benteng, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by:
- These Terms and Conditions
- Our Privacy Policy
- Any additional terms or policies referenced herein
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and BPS Kabupaten Bengkulu Tengah.
2. Eligibility and Account Requirements
2.1 Age Requirement
- You must be at least 18 years old to use this App
- If you are under 18, you may only use the App with parental or guardian consent
- The App is NOT intended for children under 13
2.2 Account Creation
- You may need to create an account using Google Sign-In or other authentication methods
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
2.3 Organizational Accounts
If you are using the App as part of an organization:
- You represent that you have authority to bind your organization to these Terms
- Your organization's administrator may have access to your account and data
- Your use may be subject to additional organizational policies
3. License Grant and Restrictions
3.1 Limited License
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download,
install, and use the App for your personal or organizational business purposes, subject to these Terms.
3.2 Restrictions
You agree NOT to:
- ❌ Copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the App
- ❌ Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- ❌ Remove, alter, or obscure any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices
- ❌ Use the App for any illegal, unauthorized, or malicious purpose
- ❌ Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
- ❌ Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality or servers
- ❌ Use automated tools (bots, scripts) to access or interact with the App
- ❌ Jailbreak or root your device to bypass security measures
- ❌ Upload viruses, malware, or harmful code
4. Background Location Tracking
⚠️ CRITICAL: Background Location Collection
This App collects your precise location data even when the App is closed, minimized,
or not in use during active tracking sessions.
By using the tracking features, you explicitly consent to continuous background location collection.
4.1 Tracking Consent
When you start a tracking session:
- Location collection begins immediately and continues until you stop tracking
- Collection persists even when your screen is off or you are using other apps
- You will see a persistent notification indicating active tracking
- You can stop tracking anytime by tapping the "Stop" button
4.2 Purpose of Background Location
Background location is used exclusively for:
- Recording accurate routes and distances for work assignments
- Enabling real-time monitoring by supervisors (if applicable)
- Calculating travel time and mileage
- Generating tracking reports and history
4.3 Motion and Activity Data
We collect motion sensor data from your device to improve tracking accuracy:
- Accelerometer data: Detects physical movement of your device
- Motion intensity: Calculates how fast you're moving
- Activity type detection: Differentiates between walking, running, or vehicle movement
- Step counting: Counts your steps during tracking (if sensor available)
📱 Motion Sensor Usage:
Motion sensors are used
ONLY to:
- ✅ Improve GPS accuracy by filtering false location data
- ✅ Detect when you're stationary to prevent GPS drift
- ✅ Optimize battery usage with intelligent tracking modes
- ❌ NOT used for fitness tracking or health monitoring
- ❌ NOT used for user profiling or behavior analysis
- ❌ NOT accessed when tracking is inactive
4.4 User Control
- You can revoke location permissions in Android Settings at any time
- Revoking permissions will disable core tracking features
- You can delete tracking history within the App
5. User Responsibilities
5.1 Device Requirements
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining a compatible Android device with GPS capability
- Ensuring your device has an active internet connection for data sync
- Keeping your operating system and App updated
- Securing your device with passwords/biometrics
- Managing battery and data usage
5.2 Accurate Information
- You agree to provide accurate tracking data and not tamper with GPS signals
- You will not falsify location data or manipulate tracking records
- You will use the App only for legitimate business purposes
5.3 Compliance
- You agree to comply with all applicable local, state, and federal laws
- You will not use the App for stalking, harassment, or surveillance of others without consent
- You will respect others' privacyrights
6. Data Usage and Privacy
6.1 Privacy Policy
Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy,
which explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your data.
6.2 Data Charges
- You are responsible for any mobile data charges incurred while using the App
- Background location tracking may consume significant data and battery
- We recommend using WiFi when available for data-intensive operations
6.3 Data Security
While we implement reasonable security measures, you acknowledge that no system is 100% secure.
You use the App at your own risk.
7. Intellectual Property Rights
7.1 Ownership
All rights, title, and interest in the App, including but not limited to:
- Software code, design, and functionality
- Trademarks, logos, and branding
- User interface and graphics
- Documentation and content
...are owned exclusively by BPS Kabupaten Bengkulu Tengah or our licensors.
7.2 User Content
You retain ownership of any content you create using the App (e.g., photos, notes).
However, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use,
store, and process your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.
8. Third-Party Services and Content
8.1 Google Services
The App uses Google services, including:
- Google Maps Platform
- Firebase (Authentication, Database, Analytics, Cloud Messaging)
- Google Sign-In
Your use of these services is subject to Google's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
8.2 No Endorsement
We are not responsible for the accuracy, reliability, or availability of third-party services.
Links to third-party websites do not constitute endorsement.
9. Service Availability and Modifications
9.1 Service Availability
We strive to provide continuous service, but we do not guarantee that the App will:
- Be available 24/7 without interruptions
- Be error-free or free of bugs
- Meet your specific requirements
- Provide accurate location data in all conditions
9.2 Updates and Changes
We reserve the right to:
- Update, modify, or discontinue the App or any features at any time
- Change these Terms with or without prior notice
- Perform scheduled or emergency maintenance
- Add or remove features based on technical or business requirements
9.3 App Updates
- You agree to download and install App updates when made available
- Failure to update may result in reduced functionality or security risks
- Some updates may be mandatory for continued use
10. Fees and Payments
10.1 Free Service
Lintas Benteng is currently provided as a FREE service.
However, we reserve the right to:
- Introduce paid features, subscriptions, or premium plans in the future
- Charge fees for certain services or features
- Provide advance notice before implementing any fees
10.2 Future Paid Features
If we introduce paid features:
- Pricing will be clearly displayed
- You will have the option to opt-in or decline
- Payments will be processed through Google Play Store
- Refund policies will be governed by Google Play's refund terms
11. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability
11.1 "AS IS" Disclaimer
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND,
EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Implied warranties of merchantability
- Fitness for a particular purpose
- Non-infringement
- Accuracy, reliability, or completeness of data
11.2 Location Accuracy
We do NOT guarantee that:
- GPS location data will be 100% accurate
- Tracking will work in all environments (e.g., indoors, tunnels, remote areas)
- Routes or distances will be precisely calculated
- Location data will be available in real-time without delays
11.3 Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:
- Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- Loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities
- Personal injury or property damage resulting from App use
- Unauthorized access to or alteration of your data
- Errors, bugs, or service interruptions
- Third-party services or content
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO USE THE APP
IN THE 12 MONTHS PRIOR TO THE CLAIM (WHICH IS $0 FOR FREE USERS).
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless BPS Kabupaten Bengkulu Tengah,
its officers, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses
(including legal fees) arising from:
- Your use or misuse of the App
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any third-party rights
- Your content or data uploaded to the App
- Your negligent or intentional misconduct
13. Termination
13.1 Termination by You
You may terminate your use of the App at any time by:
- Uninstalling the App from your device
- Deleting your account (if applicable)
- Ceasing all use of the Service
13.2 Termination by Us
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time,
with or without notice, for:
- Violation of these Terms
- Fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity
- Security or safety concerns
- Extended inactivity
- Any reason at our sole discretion
13.3 Effect of Termination
- Your license to use the App will immediately cease
- You must uninstall the App from all devices
- We may delete your account data after a reasonable period
- Provisions of these Terms that should survive termination will remain in effect
14. Dispute Resolution
14.1 Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Indonesia, without regard to conflict of law principles.
14.2 Jurisdiction
Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved in the courts of
Bengkulu, Indonesia.
14.3 Informal Resolution

to attempt to resolve the dispute informally.
15. General Provisions
15.1 Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us
regarding the App and supersede all prior agreements.
15.2 Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions
will remain in full force and effect.
15.3 Waiver
Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of our right to
enforce that provision in the future.
15.4 Assignment
You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your rights under these Terms without our prior written consent.
We may assign these Terms to any affiliate or successor without restriction.
15.5 Force Majeure
We are not liable for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control,
including but not limited to natural disasters, war, terrorism, government actions, or internet/network failures.
16. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective when:
- Posted on this page with a new "Last Updated" date
- Announced in the App (for material changes)
- Notified via email or push notification (for significant changes)
Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
If you do not agree to the changes, you must stop using the App.

- ✅ You consent to the collection and use of your data as described in the Privacy Policy
